City Paper | Naked City | On Location | Meet the folks who find Philly spots for Hollywood shoots. | September 12-18, 2002 | by Mary F. Patel
www.citypaper.net/articles/2002-09-12/naked.shtml">“What do J-Lo, Ben Affleck and Michael Bolton have in common? No, the answer has nothing to do with hairstyles or ego sizes. All of these celebs have worked, or are currently working, on films (or videos) in Philly. Our town’s reputation as a good and inexpensive place to make movies has only been enhanced by the recent hype from the Kevin Smith film Jersey Girl, now shooting with Lopez, Affleck and other stars in various locations in the city. But after Smith, who hails from New Jersey, opted to shoot in Philly, it was time for our local location scouts to enter the scene to help film crews make the most of what the city has to offer.”

Location Scout Resource: Pittsburgh – Bolster Photography Links
As a location photographer who is a well traveled road warrior, I know what it is like to travel to a strange city and know the stress that goes with making a successful photo shoot in an unfamiliar place. A really successful location shoot not only means bringing back great photos, but it can also be taking home memories of a new place, thoughts of a great meal, or maybe a great conversation with a colorful local.
Mark Bolster is a long-time Pittsburgh location commercial photographer; his archive of local location / production resources is valuable to any location scout, producer or photographer headed to the Pittsburgh area.

Chambersburg residents share views with CNN (The Sentinel)
A crew from cable network CNN visited Chambersburg on Thursday, asking residents for their views on the economy and the presidential race.
CNN producer Joshua Rubin said Chambersburg was selected as an interview site after reviewing maps and researching towns on the Internet. Chambersburg’s picturesque fountain on its square was a factor in the town’s selection, Rubin said, as was a location scout’s favorable opinion of Chambersburg’s downtown.
