News: May Location Scout in Red Hook, Brooklyn
Location scout for a Maxim Magazine (NYC) spread
Photographer: Christian Lantry (NYC)
The location used was the classic gritty industrial Brooklyn location, The NY Shipyard, (AKA Todd / Red Hook Graving Dock) a one time actual full scale shipyard that had deteriorated (or elevated depending on how you look at it;-) into a gone-to-seed industrial wasteland, a veritable image-makers playground!
Alas, all things must pass; the property was sold to (I am told) Ikea and will soon be a parking lot. The Maxim Magazine shoot was the farewell shoot for the Shipyard as a film/photo location.
update – there is definitely an Ikea in Red Hook now.

Adderall – Wikipedia
Adderall is a brand name psychostimulant drug. It belongs to the phenethylamine and amphetamine chemical classes. Adderall is used for the treatment of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and narcolepsy. It is commercially available and legal only in the United States. Adderall is a combination of four amphetamine salts (racemic amphetamine aspartate monohydrate, racemic amphetamine sulfate, dextroamphetamine saccharide, and dextroamphetamine sulfate). It works as a reuptake inhibitor for dopamine and norepinephrine. It is available in two formulations: IR (Instant Release) and XR (Extended Release). The immediate release formulation is indicated for use in attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and narcolepsy, while the XR formulation is approved for use only with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
Adderall XR – Wikipedia
Adderall XR consists of the following amphetamine compounds in equal proportions: dextroamphetamine saccharate, dextroamphetamine sulfate, racemic amphetamine aspartate monohydrate, and racemic amphetamine sulfate. Breakdown rates are affected by many factors including urinary and stomach pH, weight, sex, other medications being taken, and age. Alkalinity increases bioavailability, while acidity causes the drug to be excreted more quickly. Manufacturers claim that the mixture of salts in Adderall XR makes its effects smoother (that is, makes softer highs and lows).
